  • Standard proofreading.

Module 3: Copyediting

The purpose of this module is to introduce participants to copy editing. The module covers:

  • Difference between copyediting and proofreading.
  • Preparing Style Sheets.
  • Editing skills: Editing for Conciseness and absence of bias.
  • Types of editing: Light, Substantive, Technical.
  • Referencing styles: APA, Chicago, Harvard, MLA, Vancouver.

Each module contains several exercises to enable the participantsto practice the concepts covered in the module.

Certification

Each participant’s performance will be evaluated at the end of each module. Successful participants will be awarded a professional* certification in proofreading and copy editing at the end of the course.
